Product Description

aquasana-ro-1.png

The Aquasana OptimH2O uses reverse osmosis and Claryum filtration technology to maximise your health benefits and hydration and is the only proven water filtration method to effectively remove fluoride. It is the first system of its kind and has remineralisation so you don’t miss out on any natural goodness.

You can see the performance sheet here

The Aquasana OptimH2O filtration system reduces the content of 74 contaminants including fluoride and mercury by 95%, chlorine and arsenic by 97% and lead and asbestos by 99%. In total, it filters five times more contaminants than other filters. Minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium are put back into the water, so you don’t loose any health benefits.

The filter works in several steps. Firstly the reverse osmosis filters out dissolved solids smaller than one micron, then activated carbon reduces the organic chemical contents including herbicides, pesticides, VOCs and MTBEs. Catalytic carbon removes chlorine and chlorine + ammonia disinfectants whilst the ion exchange filters out heavy metals such as lead and mercury. Finally, the absolute sub-micron filtration removes asbestos and chlorine resistant cysts before beneficial minerals are added back into your water.

When it comes to replacing your filters, it's never been easier. Simply twist and pull. You don't even need a plumber! You might think that all this filtration slows down the water flow, but you'd be wrong. In fact, the Aquasana OptimH2O has a flow rate of 0.8gpm.
