| The Excalibur is a world class dehydrator. It is THE dehydrator used by most in the raw food community? |

The Excalibur dehydrator is world class. Our only complaint is the size - the Excalibur 5 tray food dehydrator is not ideal for space-challenged kitchens, due to the worktop space it takes up.
However, if you have the space on your worktop, this is certainly the food dehydrator to invest in.
As far as design, reliability and quality, the 5 tray dehydrator is at the head of its class of similarly priced food dehydrators.
It features the parallex horizontal drying system, which draws in cool air, heats it to the desired temperature and it is fed throughout the five trays simultaniously.
The food dehydrates as the Excalibur’s hot air evenly removes the moisture from the food, and the front of the dehydrater is open, allowing the unwanted moisture to escape.
In many food deydrators, you need to move the trays from level to level during the drying process, to ensure even dehydration. However, the horizontal airflow feature in the Excalibur ensures even dehydration and eliminates the need to re-stack trays during the drying process.
The Excalibur is truly flexible, allowing trays to be removed to allow for drying larger pieces of food, such as complete fruits. The Excalibur dehydrator features flexible mesh inserts, which prevents food from sticking to the trays, making the seamless, polycarbonate trays easy to clean.
The Excalibur’s adjustable thermostat offers the capability of perfect dehydration on every occasion and unlike many comparable dehydrators, which feature round edged trays, the dishwasher-safe trays of the Excalibur, feature square-edged trays, thus increasing the dehydrators drying capability.
This food dehydrator is supplied with five trays, offering up to fifteen square feet of dehydration drying area. The dehydrator is powered by a 400W motor and uses a 7-inch fan.
