For those living in very hard water area's where the water hardness is in excess of 180ppm and up to 275ppm we recommend using the Alkaviva Ultra Spartan hard water filter. In hard water areas, the Ultra Spartan hard water filter helps to protect your Water Ionizer and its connections such as hoses and valves that are open to the damaging effect of scale buildup. If you live in an aggressively hard water area with water hardness in excess of 275pmm we recommend you install a reverse osmosis system with a re-mineralizer to filter your water before the water passes into your water ionizer.
The Alkaviva Ultra Spartan hard water filter should be changed every 12 months or 4,000 litres whichever comes first.
