How does the system work?

The Oasis Whole House Filtration System consists of two filter cartridges, a pre-filter and a Carbon Block filter. This removes sediment, chlorine and chemicals for uses such as showering, bathing, washing clothes. The MPB-HM10-K and MPB-HM-20K also contain a third 'Crystal' cartridge for removing heavy metals.

By-Pass Inline Pre-Filter

The Oasis uses a 1-micron pre-filter to prolong the life of the Whole House cartridge. The pre-filter removes turbidity, sediment and particulates.

'Topaz' Carbon Block Filter

This is the main filter in the Oasis Whole House system. This cartridge removes particulate and dissolved forms:

• Chlorine
• Trihalomethane
• Pesticides
• Herbicides
• PAHs*
• Phenols
• Sediment

*Polyaromatic hydrocarbons, oil based chemicals, tetrahydrochoride, dry cleaning solvents etc.

Heavy Metal Cartridges

The MPB-HM-10K and MPB-HM-20K have an additional 'Crystal' cartridge for the removal of heavy metals.

Housings

The filter housing and cover are made of plastic materials meeting the criteria of the Food and Drug Administration. All filter housings carry a 2-year warranty.

Is the Oasis right for me?

The average person uses 150 litres of water per day for drinking, bathing and washing. The Oasis Whole House system comes in two sizes. The smaller MPB10K has a capacity for 300,000 litres per year and is suitable for an average 1-2 person household. The larger MPB20K has a capacity of 600,000 litres per year and is suitable for a household of 3 or more people. The MPB20K whole house water filter is also designed to cope with pressurised systems and high-flow applications such as Combi and Megaflo Boilers. The MPB-HM-10K and MPB-HM-20K are similar, but have an extra 'Crystal' cartridge for the removal of heavy metals.

All units are designed to be plumbed in where the mains water supply comes into the house. We recommend that an under sink, point of use, filter such as the Fresh Water FW1000 be fitted as well to remove possible bacteria from drinking water.
